Second Start Battery โ€” Battery Renewal & Recycling

Eastern North Carolina

Every battery we sell can show its work.

Most used batteries are sold on a shrug. Ours carry a number, a test date and a measured result โ€” so you can see exactly what you're buying before you hand over a dollar.

And if you've got old ones piling up, we'll collect them free and put them through the same process.

What that number actually means

A battery's rating is stamped on the case. What matters is what it measures today. We only sell one when the measurement clears 80% of its own rating โ€” and we write both numbers on the record so you can check the arithmetic yourself.

Step 1

Inspected & cleaned

Cases checked for cracks, bulges and leaks. Anything damaged never enters the process.

Step 2

Charged & rested

Fully charged, then left to rest โ€” a battery read straight off the charger lies to you.

Step 3

Electronically tested

Measured cold-cranking amps and resting voltage, plus a load test where it applies.

Step 4

Passed or recycled

Under 80%, it doesn't go on the shelf. It goes intact to a licensed recycler.

Got old batteries? We'll take them from you for free.

Cars, trucks, tractors, mowers, boats, golf carts. We run scheduled routes across Eastern North Carolina โ€” you don't load anything, pay anything, or go hunting for a recycler. Recurring pickups available for shops with a pile building up.
